Full Stack WordPress Developer
We're a long established Creative & Digital Marketing Agency looking for an additional web developer, primarily WordPress. This role will suit an experienced professional who is settled in their career and is looking for long-term,
fulfilling employment with a mid-size, stable agency that has a strong and diverse client base; someone who is passionate about their work and takes pride in everything they do.
It is anticipated that the developer will be able to work remotely some of the time but will be required to work from our office in Brookvale most of the time. We have some flexibility here, however we will only consider applicants who are within commuting distance to Brookvale.
Required Skills
- Minimum 6 years commercial experience.
- Agency experience preferred
- WordPress expert, able to develop custom themes.
- XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript (including AJAX), jQuery, LESS / Sass
- PHP, MySQL, Bitbucket, Github, Gulp,
- Responsive development (desktop, mobile, tablet)
- Mac, PC and Linux environments operating systems.
- Apache and IIS web server and domain admin.
- Advanced MySQL database admin skills.
- PHP (including object orientated concepts)
- AWS administration
- Knowledge of best practices for cross-platform, cross-browser compatibility.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Developing new websites plus ongoing development and maintenance of existing client websites
- Develop, test and deliver unique new websites using the latest tech
- Developing custom web applications using PHP
- Collaborating with our design and production team to develop effective solutions and provide recommendations for development
- Ongoing development of existing web applications,
- Ongoing maintenance and development of integrations between systems
- Maintain custom developed APIs & integrations
- Scope and write technical requirements for specific tasks & complete builds
- Reports to our Digital Lead
